Report a problem
We read every report. A good one gets fixed sooner, so tell us what you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
AmigaChrome, Cradle or an instance
Use the contact form and choose “Something is broken”.
- which machine it was (AmigaOS 3.2.3, AmigaOS 4.1 or the open machine) and its CPU and graphics, as Cradle's hardware panel shows them;
- what Cradle said, word for word, or a screenshot;
- whether it happens every time, and the steps that make it happen.
An Open-family program
OpenWrite, OpenMail, OpenPrint and the rest each have a public page on GitHub. Open an issue there, on the program's own page, with its version (the Version line of its readme) and your AmigaOS version.
Not on GitHub? The contact form reaches the same people.
Common questions
Do I need AmigaOS to use AmigaChrome?
No. The open machine is ready to use and boots the free AROS ROM. For a pure AmigaOS machine you bring your own copy of AmigaOS; the how-to says what to buy and how Cradle checks it.
Can I download AmigaChrome yet?
Not yet. The Downloads page lists what is out today, such as OpenWrite and OpenAmigaGCC, and says plainly what is still coming.
Is it free and open source?
The Team's own AmigaChrome and Open-family work is MIT-licensed. Not everything it uses is: GCC and its libraries, third-party ports and their artwork keep their own licences.
Is Cradle a Docker for Amigas?
It borrows Docker's discipline, not its containers: each instance is a whole Amiga. Cradle and Docker, side by side compares the two point by point.
Where do I report a bug?
See Report a problem below: the contact form for AmigaChrome and Cradle, or the program's own GitHub page for an Open-family program.
