Who we are

AmigaChrome Team runs this website and makes AmigaChrome. Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we are the controller of the personal details described here.

To ask about your details, use the contact form and choose “Something else”.

What we collect, and why

Visiting the site

Pages, pictures and fonts all come from our own server. Nothing on the site loads from Google, Facebook or any other company, and we set no cookies.

Like every web server, ours records each request in a log: your IP address, the page, the time and your browser's name. Our web host keeps these logs for a short time to keep the site running and secure. We don't use them to identify or follow anyone. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.

The contact form

When you send a message we receive your name, email address, who you are, your organisation if you give one, the topic and your message. They reach us as an email; the website itself keeps no copy.

We use them only to answer you, and to keep a record of the conversation. We delete the email within two years of our last exchange, unless it has become an ongoing business relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

Stopping abuse

To limit each sender to five messages an hour, the form keeps a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address and the times you sent messages. It can't be turned back into the address. It is kept for one hour and then deleted. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam.

The AmigaChrome software

The released AmigaChrome software sends nothing to us: no telemetry, no crash reports and no usage data. Nothing you do in it reaches us unless you write to us yourself.

Who else sees it

We never sell or rent personal details, and we share them with no one for marketing.

Our web host and our email provider handle the details above for us, under contract, to run the site and deliver mail.

Links to Facebook and GitHub take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply. We don't embed them, so they learn nothing about your visit here until you click.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal details we hold about you, and ask us to correct them, delete them, stop or limit using them, or give them to you in a form you can take elsewhere. You can object at any time to our using details on the basis of legitimate interest. We will answer within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

If this notice changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
